Angels to the rescue (2)

Now I am truly excited (not just copy-pasting the blurb off the ravelry site) that an angel has knocked on my blog door. I will start thinking about what will surprise and delight Shamu (except if she doesn't want a surprise, but somehow I 'm sure she will).

Yesterday morning we did some canvassing at the market. The last time I did this kind of thing was about thirty years ago, and in the comparatively secure environment of my university. It was amazing to get talking to "real people", (not students or intellectuals), some of whom are not interested, or have no time, or think that politics is a lot of bollocks anyway, and it felt like a victory when I managed to start a real two-way conversation.
