Spring break (bis)

Another great thing about the school break is we can catch up with some of the films we don't find the time for during term time.
And so we went to see an amazing Iranian film by woman director Shirin Neshat "Women without men".  There is no real "story", the four main characters  are constantly crossing an invisible border between dream and reality, the photography is absolutely magnificent, the soundtrack too, rich and precise, down to the gritty muezzin's call that opens the movie. You might find the visual quotations a little heavy-handed at times, but it is a truly moving work, thanks to, or in spite of its aesthetics.

That looks like a great movie! I'm going to try and find it here.
